The assistance package is an intelligent combination of 4 assistance systems that can take the strain off you while driving and ensure greater safety. To this end, the PRE-SAFE® preventive occupant protection system can detect critical driving situations at an early stage and initiate preventive protective measures.

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC can maintain the distance set by the driver to the vehicle in front and can relieve the driver, e.g. when driving on the highway or in stop-and-go traffic. The system accelerates automatically and brakes with a maximum of half braking power in order to maintain the safe distance. If the system detects that heavier braking is necessary, the driver is warned visually and acoustically so that he can slow down the vehicle if necessary. If there is a risk of collision, Active Brake Assist also intervenes to prevent an accident as far as possible.
